TrackIn Privacy Policy

  1. Introduction
    TrackIn values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how TrackIn handles your information.
  2. Data Collection & Storage
    • Local Storage (Default)
      By default, TrackIn does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information you enter (names, dates, statuses, etc.) is stored securely on your device and never leaves it.
    • Optional Cloud Sync
      If you choose to enable Cloud Sync by entering your Cloud ID and API Key in Settings, TrackIn will periodically send selected data to our secure servers. The only data transmitted is:
      1. User Profile: First name, last name, and email address (if provided).
      2. Activity History: All history records you’ve created (date, status, and any associated notes).
      3. Timestamps: The updatedOn timestamp for each record.
        All Cloud Sync traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. You remain in control: removing your Cloud ID and API Key will immediately halt all uploads, and your locally stored data remains intact on your device.
  3. Internet Connectivity
    • Offline Mode
      TrackIn operates fully offline by default. No network connection is required unless you enable Cloud Sync.
    • When Sync Is Enabled
      With Cloud Sync turned on, TrackIn will attempt to connect to the internet every 10 seconds (while the app is running) to upload pending changes and fetch any updates from the server. Sync only occurs when a network connection is available.
  4. User Control
    • You can enable or disable Cloud Sync at any time via the Settings screen.
    • Deleting or modifying records in the app will update both your local database and—if Cloud Sync is on—your cloud copy on the next sync pass.
    • Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on the device. If Cloud Sync was enabled, your data will remain on our servers until you contact us to delete it.
  5. Security
    • Local Security
      We recommend using device‑level security (passcode, Touch ID/Face ID) to protect your data.
    • Cloud Security
      All data sent to our servers is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS). We store your Cloud ID, API Key, and synced data in an encrypted database on our servers. Access to this data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
  6. Changes to This Policy
    If we update this policy, we will post the new version with a revised Effective Date on this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
